The 2005 Gadget Guide is out!

Leoville Press The new Leoville Press has delivered its first book and I’m really thrilled with how it came out.
Leo Laporte’s 2005 Gadget Guide is a review of hundreds of the hottest new gadgets, with my picks, lots of pictures, and tips for operating them. Michael Miller and my editor, Rick Kughen, did all of the heavy lifting so they deserve all the credit. Thanks, guys.

  1. I’m so glad that you are still around (in Canada). I don’t know if G4 was fully in charge of “Call for Help” vanashing!!! in the states. Big mistake. I live in Toronto and when we got Tech TV on cable the first show I fell in love with was “The Screen Savers”, both you and Patrick were the best. It’s still good, but it’s not the same. I know change can be good for some, but not everyone. I even miss when the show was 1hr 30 min. I’m sure they want to aim things at a younger generation, but I’m 32 and like to see someone who has passion for what they do. I’m not trying to be a bother, but the next time (or any time) you are in Toronto I would love to meet you.
Is the radio station you are on in the states on the the net for listening live? If so, whenare you on. Second are you in contact with Patrick? Will he still be a part of G4TechTV.
    Thanks.

  2. Great news Leo! Well great news for me I’m not so sure about my pocet book. I think I better freeze my credit card in a block of ice before that book arrives cause I just know I’m going to end up with a list of gadgets I’m going to want. Considering the other day a friend asked me to go with her to Circuit City to look at digital cameras. I told her that was too dangerous place for me to go, she begged, I went. She walked out without a camera, I walked out with a Western Digital Media Center External Hard Drive. So a book with hundreds of reviews, lots of pictures, and tips for operating the hottest new gadgets is going to send me into a geek tailspin.

  3. I have yet to turn on tech tv since the change over. Too much that I liked is gone. Is patrick even there anymore? I still get the shownotes and haven’t seen his name mentioned. If you could do a reunion show I know everyone would tune in. Is there going to be any DVD extra in special stores like last time? I think I’ll really like this book and I hope it has suggestions for car hard drive players. Anyway congrats on the book!
