Last Call

afs_call_for_helpYesterday was one of the saddest days of my life. We put Call for Help to bed Wednesday. You’ll see the last episode on Friday, but for those of us who have been making the show for six years a huge and important chunk of our lives is over.
G4 is shopping the show and it’s possible another network will pick it up. I pray someone does. I’ll keep doing it if I have to fly to Sandusky twice a week. Somehow, somewhere, Call for Help has to live on, if only for the folks who have come to depend on the show for their computer help. I know so many moms and grandfathers and kids and just plain folks for whom Call for Help was an introduction to technology. The show helped get so many people on track, and I feel like we’re letting many more down by not doing it any more. Cross your fingers that some network executive somewhere is willing to take a chance on a funky little show that makes such a big difference in people’s lives.

Meanwhile G4 has asked me to keep doing the daily 90-second pre-taped tips on The Screen Savers indefinitely. I said yes, of course. It’s better than nothing, and it will leave me lots of free time to try to find somewhere else to do what I do. Vinnie Longobardo, the VP Programming for G4, also asked me to ask you to stop filling his inbox with mail. I appreciate your efforts but at this point it’s probably useless to keep harassing the poor guy. G4 is going for a different audience and my work is not really part of those plans. I understand that – I even agree with them. It’s time for all of us to move on.

Mostly I’m going to miss the people I work with. It’s going to be so hard to get up in the morning and not see their faces. You never met a nicer, harder working, more committed bunch of people. We loved what we did. And we hate not getting to do it any more.

Some will continue on with G4. I think Roger, Cat, and Ian will move to LA. George is getting his real estate license. Dan will be bagging groceries at the local Stop ‘n’ Shop. I’m not sure what Fawn’s plans are. The studio crew will continue working until July 2 when 535 York gets shut down for good. Then they’ll all go on to other jobs. They’re the best in the business and won’t have any trouble finding work.

We had six good years. That’s more than most TV shows get. And we are very proud of what we did. It’s just hard to let go, especially when the show was starting to click. We’d had our highest ratings ever in March – 500% growth over the same time last year. The December Call-For-Help-a-thon earned us a big article in the New York Times. We had finally made it back into prime time. So close. So close.

I’m not complaining. I have my family, my radio show, and my memories of an amazing little channel where I got to do pretty much whatever I wanted for way too long. I am just so grateful to have had that chance. And I’m even more grateful that so many of you seemed to actually like my work. I’m not giving up. I’m just going to take some time off to say a private good-bye. Then it’s on to the next thing. I’m sure it will be wonderful and fun and all that. But there will never be another TechTV. For all its flaws, it was pretty great, wasn’t it?

Happy Trails!

  1. I can’t help but think that G4 made their first mistake. I used to love watching you on The Screensavers and thought you did an excellent job on Call for Help. I was happy when they moved Call for Help to 6pm EST. I then could watch you as I fixed and ate supper. Watch The Screensavers and Tech Live and I was usually done with my TV viewing for the evening. Best of luck in whatever endeavor you chose. I bookmarked this site so I can keep in touch. Thanks for all the entertainment you have provided.

  2. Leo, What can one say! Friday was the saddest day on TechTV EVER! I wouldn’t even know what a BLOG was if it wasn’t for you!
We will miss your unpatronizing, informative and genuine good humor and knowledge.. We will most likey no longer watch Tech Tv or whatever the heck are they calling it this week “G4TV” because you are no longer a there!!!!!!!!
Good luck and God Bless, We LOVE Ya Leo!

  3. Sigh…. I’ve watched you and have been a big fan since those first days on ZDTV. ZDTV wasn’t available on our cable network, so I would stop by my grandma’s house – you see, she had C-Band – to watch TSS with you and Kate. I agree with another fan who posted here – the “old” days were simpler and so much more personal. I noticed, when TechTV took over ZDTV, a lot of the techie aspects were slowly diminishing and that dreaded 12-year-old boy demographic was taking over (hence Martin’s sex show.) Thank God for CfH and TSS. I’m a 36-year-old, 21-year IT professional (yes, you read right) and LOVED learning new things on your show.
So you know what you have to do.
Go get that video camera and start shooting your own show in your basement. DIY, Discovery, and/or TLC need this type of programming (after watching too many “monster house”, “trading spaces”, and “celebrity hobbies” episodes, I’d say they should be desperate for a show you could deliver.) A matter of fact, just tell us what network you’d like to go for and we’ll all find the program director’s email address and “harass” them. Then Vinnie can stop worrying about his inbox, since no one will be watching his channel.
I refuse to say “good-bye” Leo, ’cause I know you’ll be back. And we’ll all be here waiting for you.

  4. I am going to miss you Leo! I have been watching since the station was ZDTV and I feel the people were what made Techtv what it is. I have seen some of the cross over specials and have thought of the new G4 people as a bit plastic and not truly from the world they are covering. You and the others from Techtv were personable and very much a part of the computer world. I hope G4 is not about to totally ruin my favorite channel. They have already hurt it by doing away with CFH and Leo, the God of computers. 🙂

  5. Leo,
You are the best. I was fortunate enough to see a Screen Savers episode taped last October with you at the helm. Without you the show is just so-so. TechTV/G4 has no Clue as to what the audience wants. I am your age and started with an Apple II computer 25 years ago. Your wit and insight in the shows will be sorely missed by me and I am sure many others. Please keep us in the loop as to what is going on and perhaps you and Dvorzak can get some production funding for a new network.

  6. thanks leo for every thing pat to thanks for teaching how to fix and build a comp if it wasent for you guys i would of never learned guys like you make the world go around.i hope g4 fall down i guss its the money right well got to go thank and god bless

  7. Leo & Gang
I’ve been watching you guys since ZDTV and have gotten used to watching and, for the last two years, recording each showing of TSS and CFH. I even kept my DirecTV, after getting hispeed with Comcast, so I could continue to get CFH/TSS. It looks like I’ll be giving up DirecTV. If your shows aren’t available to me, it’s a waste of money.
I appreciate that you will, or someone will, keep us posted on CFH future.
Take care. Tell your wife “THANK YOU” for making sure I got my books ” Leo’s Almanacs” “back from TechTV. It only took about four months (LOL). I didn’t even get the 2004 issue autographed. Oh well.
Best wishes from me and mine.

  8. Leo, you were Tech TV!
I am so disappointed they have cancelled your show. You lit up the shows, making them so interesting with your trademark sincere good cheer. I subscribed to Satellite TV so I could watch you on Screensavers and Call for Help. Now, I can’t believe they only have you make a short appearance on the Screensavers. I sure hope they revise their decision. If you go elsewhere, I will follow.

  9. Wow Leo, I thought the this day would never come. But here we are. 5/22/04 The very last new episode of Call For Help on Tech TV. Its very sad day indeed from all of us geeks all around the world and here in Leoville. Because you and the great on air personality and everyone who worked behind the scenes of the show, I have the ability to have access to so much knowledge about all aspect technology. Over the last six years I have learned so much. I really want to Thank you and Appreciate everyone at Call For Help and Especially you Leo for all of your time, Research and hard work to putting together one the best show on Television about Technology Computers, the Internet and how to get the most of your Personal Confuser to date!!!! Thanks again for memories and I hope sometime in the near future Call for help will be back on television on another network.
And Remember everyone Don’t Moan, Yell, Bang, Break it or use the Norton 3000 Smash-O-matic Just Call For Help. Its Comcast and G4 Media’s fault.
    john.

  10. Leo, I love you, but 90 seconds on TSS just isn’t enough Leo to justify $50/month in cable. I just cancelled my service.
Give me 30 minutes of Leo and I’ll be back. Keep us posted on where you’re at please. You have a solid following, sort of scary and cult-like, but in a good way.
    Thank you for everything.

  11. I am going to think positive. This is just a short vacation for CHF. I am sure that in no time Leo will be back on hosting a bigger and better version for all of us to enjoy and learn from. You see I am trying to have a positive attitude.
Thank you Leo for the past six years and here is to many more.

  12. Leo – if I may be so foward as to call you by your first name. I am one of the many that will miss Call-for-Help. The BEST computer/tech shows on the dish. Loved every episode. Sorry to see you go! To bad some network exec’s can’t see the forest for the trees. Good Luck in your future endevours and I hope another network picks up the show.

  13. Of course I’m sad of the corporate mess that has led to the demise of a great network. But I am more saddened by the lack of empathy shown by some of your younger proteges, at least one of whom has the initials, PN. All I heard in the waning days was that you needed to change your shirt. Shame on him. I hope another network picks up the show. If not, I have already bookmarked your radio station and web logs and sites. Its a travestshamockery!!!.

  14. Call for Help staff –
Call for Help was awesome and must live on. Leo it’s not over yet someone somewhere will make another call for help, we can’t survive without one. To the staff, thank you for all your hard work on putting on an awesome show, it will greatly be missed. Comcast did what they had to do even though I don’t personally agree, but hey, something good always comes out of something bad. Thanks Leo for your time and effort and thanks to the staff for all your hard work.

  15. My mother gave my one good piece of advice. If you wake up tomarrow, and you can still draw breath, you’re fine. Persoanlly i plan to keep up with as many TTV people as i can. Hopefully, i’ll see you all again. Call for Help was a wonderfull show, and as far as i am concerned, you did make it. Love ya man,
    Jason

  16. I still can remember about five years ago flipping throught the channels and running across this show hosted by a guy who answered callers tech questions with easy to understand plain english answers. Since then I have been hooked. I bought my first computer not long after that and have turned into a total geek. I love and will miss everyone on TTV. I know it might sound silly to say a TV channel changed your life but it’s true in my case

  17. I first started watching CFH summer 2001.
Then in sept. 2001 I got my computer it was a Windows 95.
I thought to my self I better watch this show if I want to learn how to use it.
I have been watching ever sence.
I also watch the Screen Savers I like that show too.
I have learned a lot from you and Cat, Roger.
I don’t have a mac but I was really impressed how photo shop works.
    I now have 3 computers 1 windows 95 and 2 windows xp.
When I am at work and the guys start talking tech I feel confedent to join the conversation they say wow you can do that and I say if you don’t belive me watch call for help and the screen savers.
I thank you guys for doing the show.
I hope Call for help comes back.
    Good bye my friends.

  18. Going to miss Call For Help, although I was nearly a year without it recently. I first stumbled across Call For Help and ZDTV in mid 1998 on Directv. Never had a thought of buying a confuser before then. After a few months watching Leo, in January 1999, I plopped down over $2000 on my first confuser system, CPU, monitor, and printer. Been addicted to computers ever since. My mom has “inherited” my old computer(her first), after I bought this newer model. The year I was without was when my Directv system got blew out by lightning three times in 7 years and I had to buy new equipment, then went to Time/Warner Cable, who didn’t carry TechTV. Got it back a few months ago after getting Dish Network.
Had my name mentioned once on an early Call For Help, during a live broadcast, when an expletive was inadvertenly put up on the screen in a chat room, I emailed, let Leo know it didn’t offend me(which it didn’t), but it might offend other viewers if it was shown on the screen. It was blurred in later repeats.

  19. Leo,
I had always loved ZDTV and spent several years loving TechTV. A few years back I remember watching shows several times a day (not just because they repeated, but because I wanted to) just to soak it all in. When the format started changing (no repeats, new “almost” tech shows) I began missing the old days. Unfortunately the “new” audience they are going for is not me. I have to tell you in the last three years I have gone from 10+ hours of TechTV a day, to less than one or two shows a day. Partly because of my changing work schedule, partly due to format changes. I will miss you all terribly! May you be blessed wherever you go and whatever you do! Thank you for all your hard work. Thank you for your great attitude, even now…
    Just THANK YOU!

  20. Happy Trails to you, Leo, and all of the gang! What a cool shirt to wear for the last show. Good luck with whatever new adventures that life brings you. I don’t know if you are a true cowboy, but don’t you have a few goats? You could always find a new career as a goat herder or shepherd.
Of course, I’m kidding! Please keep up with your blog and all of us will keep checking up on you. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with so many fans!

  21. Here is what every one should do turn on the
SCREEN SAVERS when it comes on and then turn the channel as
    soon as its over.
DONT WATCH ANY THING ELSE ON THAT CHANNEL.
Robot war shows -sex shows? spy shows ? Nerd Shows ?
even my teenage kids dont want to watch that crap.
ill miss call for help good luck leo.

  22. Leo,
I just wanted to express my sadness over the cancellation of Call for Help. You truly have been an inspiration to me in my computing life. I am only 20 years old, and my 21st birthday is on May 23rd. From now on, I will always remember this birthday as the date where one of my favorite shows was gone forever. Thanks to you I have learned so much about computers that I would never probably have learned otherwise. I first saw you on The Screen Savers about a year and a half ago and after you left the show, it simply was not the same. I have tried to watch Call for Help every day that I can, and did not even know of the cancellation of it until about a week ago. I just wanted to wish you the absolute best of luck in your future endeavours, and I hope that another network will pick this show back up, and if/when they do I will no doubt be tuning back in! Take care.

  23. Hey Leo,
I watched your show only about 10 or 15 times, the odd afternoon I was at home. and I must say your infectious enthusiasm had me watching your show all the way to the end. and yes, like some folks pointed out, you had a way of making hard stuff sound clear and easy.
Will miss you and your show. Good Luck with everything!
    -Lalith
ps: I linked to your site about a week back and four of my friends are alrady big fans of your site, way to go!

  24. I don’t believe I have ever felt so lost over losing a television program as I do losing CFH. I trust some knowledgeable exec will see that this was a truly unique program with a future and picks it up. I’m counting the days until Call For Help is back on the air. I was a faithful viewer for almost 4 years (I have been Tivo-ing it ever since I got my Tivo) and will miss this program a lot. I will still watch TSS but it just is not the same program without you, Leo. You brought a sense of humor that it lacks now but it is still a good show and I just hope the fools with G4 don’t decide it is expendable as well. Good luck to everybody from CFH, especially Leo and Roger and Cat. Always remember you have faithful fans who miss you now and will from now on or until you are reincarnated.

  25. Wow… Well, yeah. I was watching ZDTV when it started up, on the old C-Band dishes, and I kept up with it ever since. When it started I knew next to nothing about computers, I can tell you. And between Call for Help and The ScreenSavers I learned so much. (Whether I got a t-shirt or not, I got the quiz question right! Leo’s mom was their first caller!) I just found out in the past two weeks about this “merger,” and had no idea until yesterday that Call for Help was being cancelled. (It’s May 21st just now, last episode day.)
Jeez. I pretty much grew up with this channel. I was all of fourteen when it started, so that’s a good chunk of life right there. And while I hold out some hope for the new network, it depresses me madly that Call for Help’s gone. Ideally they’ll see what happens and bring it back (it sounds like everyone involved would be willing?).
Good times… I have a suggestion though: we need Call for Help on DVD! Everything else is releasing, so how about something great?

  26. I am trying to remain calm and not get angry. Leo Laporte (and all the techtv personalities) has been a part of my life since the very beginning. I bought a DirecTiVo for two reasons. #1 Comcast did not carry your signal in my city, DirecTv does. #2 With the TiVo feature, I’ll never miss a single showing of Call for Help, The Screen Savers, Fresh Gear or Tech Live. Now some of these shows are gone, probably, forever. And the rest have fallen under the control of Comcast. Comcast has screwed-up everthing it has touched, in my eyes. They ruined my Cable Modem access. They shut off my Digital Telephone service and they never did straighten out the cable television signal I tried in vain to use, for seven years, while lining in Fremont. I am going to go postal if they screw up the last remaining TechTv shows, I really am! Leo, thank you for all your help over the years. If not for you I would not have continued to fight Windows/Microsoft. If G4TechTv does not do something similar, I see a Machintosh in my near future. My thanks to all the great people of TechTV. Good luck on all your future endevours. Big Paul

  27. When I first ran across ZDTV I felt like I had found somthing that I could identify with. It was Leo and the early crew that gave me that warm and welcome feeling every time that I watched; much like a favorite book that you read over and over. I really am going to miss you guys; you helped me to define myself. I am a computer nerd and proud of it.
No matter where you go or what you do I will continue to remember you guys.
Thank you and fare thee well.
    -CAT

  28. Leo, all I can say is JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!
If I were a rich man I would take someone’s idea and have you produce and make your own DVD’s like the Video Professor, I know you would do better than that, but unfortunately I am not a rich man, but I hope to see you soon somewhere helping us old people with our personal confusers, you sure have helped me over the years, and I do appreciate it very much……..
    See you soon
    -Hank

  29. Your the man Leo!!! Normally Id Never take the time to leave a message to a celeb such as yourself haha, but i just wanted to say good luck with everything even though you wont need it, and I hope to i get to see you on the air waves again REAL soon! (Those 90 second SS clips just arent enough) :`(
Call for help= a place in my computer junkie heart

  30. Oh my GOSH!! This came as a SHOCK to me, I watch everyday as I go about my business here, usually visiting the website for what I can’t catch.Ive watched from the begining Leo, from way back.My TV has been on zdnet & TTV for 6 years, besides the news thats almost all I ever watch. You and all the gang are the part of my life that others devote to the great tv events if our time, like I guess “Friends” and “Sienfield” Neither of which I have EVER SEEN! 🙂 So many people have posted here, and Every One matches my feelings. It’s Sturday Morn May 22 and I am BAWLING!!! Sorry, your goodby show was so graceful and I know you said no tears, but it has sunk in now that I was not watching the rerun ofa funny hoaxy episode or having a nightmare. The gentleman that posted the museing on gratitude hits it on the mark! It is a great feeling, but oh so PAINFUL now! PLEASE let us wake up and find that it was just a horrible mistake. CALL FOR HELP FOREVER !!!!!!!!! BEST THING TO EVER BEAM UP AND OUT TO THIS PLANET!

  31. Leo, I have been missing techtv since it went dark on c-band.
I really miss you guys a lot. Sorry for the uproar in your life
right now and am hoping you can get back on tv and soon.
Please get ABC to maybe add a 30 minute weekly show for you
so your c-band fans can get our Leo fix.
I was going to get a new dish so as to get the g4tv/techtv
bus when I read that they were not going to pick-up CFH I decided
it was not worth the expence.
    Good luck and God bless!
    Bobby

  32. I have been watching you since your msnbc both on call for help and the screen savers and I will surely miss all of you. You have been extremely helpful to me and my friends who don’t get TECH TV. Goodluck to all of you!!!!!!!!!

  33. SAY IT AINT SO!!! I have referred EVERY ONE to your Show and e-mailed your site to ALL I know with an e-mail address…I LOVE you ALL and I can’t imagine me gettin up in the morning with my coffee and nothing to watch…”sniff”…so, Good Luck to ALL and I will be watching to see where EVERY one goes….”sniff”…BYE..NO WAIT…you guys are the reason I can USE a computer…I knew NOTHING when I got it!THANK YOU ALL

  34. Leo,
I am greatly disappointed and saddened with the direction of G4TechTV; but that has been addressed by ALL those before me. Without Call for Help, there is now a great gap in television programing. Nothing, not even The Screen Savers, comes close to filling that hole.
Do you have a list of networks with whom you are negotiating in order to air Call for Help? What can we do to aid in the cause to keep Call for Help alive?
I will sorely miss you and the Call for Help crew.
    Thanks,
    Willi

  35. Leo,
I have watched you on ZDnet ie tech tv from the begining. I honestly believe your show made the network what it is today. I also can not believe G4 does not
have a place for call for help. I Hope you find a way to stay on mainstream tv because you have a great personality and truely care.
Best of luck and we will miss you.
    Scott and Veronica

  36. i don’tunderstand….if Call For Help was gaining such good ratings lately, why did comcast give it the can.
A different audience? I hope they aren’t trying to aim for kiddie demographic…because most gamers are older than that. No reason they Couldn’t Keep Call for Help…they should have gotten rid of robot wars.

  37. Leo,
I am so sad about this G4 merger. I really love TechTV and esp Call for Help and you. I don’t understand why you couldn’t stay on the Screen Savers as the main host. Now it Tech TV will only be for young gamers instead of all the rest of us who love technology but are not into gaming or anime.
I guess I wish you all could have stayed like you were…..kind of small, doing about a thousand jobs and shows each and just being part of my family everyday.
    I will miss you all
    San

  38. Call for Help was one of the only good shows on TechTv and it will be missed. Good Luck in your future and I hope your radio show meets you with great success. Good Bye

  39. by the way TSS ain’t the same…you need a bigger role in it.
Over the past couple of years..TSS and Call For Help taught me so much. Before watching the shows I was fairly comfortable with computers and how they operated, but now I can build and mod them. No other show or network has done that in such an enjoyable way. It will be missed.
comcast…listen to what your audience is saying…it’s not too late.

  41. I’ve been watching since the ZDTV days in 1999, although not on a regular basis since the Tech TV upheaval. Thank you for all you and Kate taught me. I have gone from zero knowledge to builing my own beige boxes, thanks entirely to you and Kate. I look forward to seeing what leoville.tv is all about! Al of you oldtimers check out this link, it will bring back a lot of memories!

  42. Leo,
I have a story to tell you. I discovered TechTV sometime in December of last year. It was 2:00 in the morning and the XPlay Best of 2003 was on. After that I started watching XPlay everyday at 4:00, about an hour after school. I’d turn the channel right before the show and caught the end of Call for Help every day, until I discovered that I really liked the show and started watching everyday RIGHT after school. And go figure, right when I become a Call for Help addict, they take the show off. ~_~ They made a BIG mistake when they did this. You guys really helped me with my “Personal Confuser” and I’d just like you to know you will really be missed by this 15 year old West Virginian. Good Luck to you and the others in the future. I know that this won’t be the end.
    –Candice

  43. Leo,
Substance and quality best describes what CFH and the staff stood for when it came to helping people with their “personal confusers”. And you did it with such a lite-hearted touch that made it easy to learn. That is what I think will be missed the most, and yes I do think that the show will be back (in some form) on another network. Thanks Leo. I hope you and your family move on to bigger and better things.
And remember ” don’t whine, don’t moan, don’t yell, just call for help.”
    Thanks for everything,
    Dave

  44. Leo,
I just wanted to say thank you. You poured your heart and soul into Call for Help and The Screen Savers. Tyler prays every night that another station picks up Call for Help. He still doesn’t understand why when I tried to explain to him why The show was no long part of Tech Tv. I personally have been spoiled. I have listen to you as far back as when you and John C Dvorak were doing the radio show broadcasted from KNBR. Tyler my wife and I got the pleasure of meeting you and Patrick on set of The Screen Savers. What a THRILL!!!!
To this day Tyler still talks about going to the studio and how much fun it was. We were treated first class. We WILL continue to listen on the radio and hopefully a Tv Station will be smart enough to pick up Call for help.
Thanks for ALL of your help over the years and I hope we meet again.
    The Allen’s
    Mike Terri Tyler

  45. My best to you Leo, and all your cohorts at CFH. I boycotted Tech TV during your recent exile, and will do likewise with G4. I guess the higher beings did not see the grass roots efforts that brought you back to CFH. I hope you keep us informed when you return to TV.

  46. Leo-
I’m a retired prof who helps some of the older crowd with computer problems. I’ve enjoyed your approach to solving problems. I also like listening to a knowledgeable person who really likes what he is doing. I even like your humor! There is a need for your show and a need for you to host it. I hope you (your show, that is) gets picked up by another cable outlet and I hope I can receive it.
    Onward to another long run!
    Jim

  47. Well, G4/TechTV have really LOST their minds, totally and completely, this time!!! Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest decision, on their parts.
I have been a fan of TechTV, when it was ZDTV, that is how far back, I go!!! I personally, have been extremely disappointed with the programming at TechTV, for about the last year or so. I feel that, several of the *new* shows are very risqué and even though, they are on later at night, are not necessary or needed. I don’t care about *sex on the Internet*, what I wanted from TechTV was information about computers, software, games, gadgets and technology stuff. However, TechTV has chosen to *lower* their programming standards, by promoting all of these *newer* shows and *pushing* them forward, all the while, the shows that MADE TechTV work, were *pushed* aside. Yes, TechTV is on Cable/Satellite and therefore, has the capability to do this type/kind of programming, but, is/was it really necessary???!!! NO…in one short answer.
Now, Leo, I must tell you, YOU are the reason that I am the Computer Geek, I am, today!!!
A dear friend, actually started me on the *path of geekdom*, but, YOU were the one, who taught me so much more, than he ever could. I learned from you, but, I was able to practice my newly taught skills from YOU, on his computers or my own. Because, of YOU…I have now built/re-built 8 computers for myself, family and friends. I do repairs for myself, family and friends. No, I do not have a business, this is done for pure pleasure and fun. It was YOU, that reminded me, *if, it is already broke…what harm can you really do, in trying to fix it*???!!! YOU also, taught me, *Why NOT try to fix it, instead of giving hard earned money to someone else, who can *mess it up*, just as badly, as you can yourself*???!!!
So, I am writing this long narrative, to say THANK YOU…for ALL the THINGS…you have DONE and DO!!! This *geek* has loved every minute, while YOU DID IT!!! I am also, looking forward to all of your adventures, in the future. I agree with all, who have posted, that somewhere…somehow…some way….some one has to do the RIGHT THING…in *grabbing* Call For Help and put it BACK on TV. I also, am predicting that G4-TechTV will not go forward, but, instead go backwards and lose completely.

  48. Call For Help was an amazing show, and I wish I had gotten the chance to talk to you over the phone and have one of my questions answers. I am 14 years old and that show has helped me to improve my knowledge of computer technology over the years and I thank you for it. Best of luck with everything, and Call For Help will be greatly missed.

  49. Leo, I’m shocked and so sad to learn of this very bad corporate decision. CFH has been a lifeline of info. for so many of us and a check-in with a great group of real people. I’ll be staying up with any other ways to access your ideas and help for us who use both Mac and Windows. I loved the glimpses of your farm, too! Please stay available via your blog and web site. You and the gang are super. Good things will come. Many thanks and best wishes!!
    Jane

  50. I am so sad to hear the show has ended. I learned so much from your show. I have been able to help a lot of my friends with there computer problems. I didn’t get to watch the show everyday due to the fact it came on at 3pm in the afternoon, but I always looked forward to going to the website to see what I missed. You guys always made me laugh, which is a good thing these days.
I hope the show comes back
Thanks for all of the free tips and files
