  2. Kazaa 2.6 is in beta. The new version allows multiple simultaneous searches and adds e-commerce capabilities. There’s a new ringtone channel for mobile phones, too.
  3. Gator is now Claria. But it’s still not spyware, got it? Uh hunh.
  4. Yoshi did it. Cory Doctorow, too. Now Salon has an article about how hackers are “modding” their metabolisms with the Atkins Diet. Cory says it’s just like overclocking.

  1. I’ve been on an Atkins Mod too > also download some veggies and fruit and you can still decrease belt notches. Don’t ZIP your beef intake. Once you have your software intake under control, work on your hardware. 30 – 60 minutes three times a week.

  2. The War of the Worlds was freakin’ cool! We had to listen to it in my “Early History of Broadcasting” class.

  3. I’m not so sure. What about excessive protein in the body? What about red meat and atherosclerosis? I don’t want to belittle the documented healthful benefit of losing weight, but at what cost. Long-term studies will tell us more about the overall success of the Atkins diet. And there is no substitute for regular exercise.
    Yeah, WotW was a killer movie, too.
