  1. That has to be the best interview I have ever seen, great job, shoulda gone for the drink bud! πŸ˜‰

  2. That interview rocked! I loved the whole thing and THANKS FOR NOT RUINING the movie, as I am the one person left on the planet who had not seen “Usual Suspects” yet!!! (btw: i liked Shipping News, it was weird, and Kevin made it very enjoyable, now I’ll have to read the book since you mentioned it was better than the movie.)
Great job Leo, both of you were very relaxed and it was fun to see an interview that wasn’t a reiteration of the usual celebrity *blah* blah* blah*, but instead a conversation between intelligent adults.
Good Luck on the pilot tonight, I hope you get a chance to do more of the kind of thing we saw last night with Kevin Spacey.

  3. I’m surprised you didn’t go. A big star asks you to go out for a drink and you don’t go???? Wow.
Your interview with Kevin was great. He looked a little shy, but you, I think, made him feel comfortable. You didn’t look star struck at all at the time you were interviewing him.
Here’s a suggestion, why don’t you email all your blogs when you write them, just like you emailed the Happy Thanksgiving Report? Didn’t you once say Yahoo required you to send a certain amount out?
It would be nice to read your blogs in email because sometimes we (or just me) can get distracted and not visit your blog on the site, but we always open our email. (I hope that doesn’t sound stupid.)

  4. One more idea. If the pilot doesn’t work out, you can be “Leo Laporte, personal computer geek to the Stars.” For instance, you can start by helping Kevin with his Clie, and then help Corbin Bernson with his network room. And then, of course, there’s always the technically-challenged Regis Philbin. Heck, that could be a full-time job alone.

  5. Leo,
I find most of the actors in the movies today, kinda boring wtih one exception..Kevin Spacey. I have found his movies great, and found him to be quite interesting in the interviews he does.
Last night’s TSS interview was awesome. He is one person I could be star struck in meeting, (with the exception of meeting you Leo in the future πŸ™‚ )

  6. I’m with Francine! You didn’t go out with Kevin? I thought you would want to sit in his lap, lol!!! The interview was great. But what I really wanted to know is……did Sumi go?

  7. Great picture Leo! Your interview with him was great! I could tell you seemed at awe of him being there with you. It was great though! πŸ™‚

  8. have you noticed that a lot of stars (per the tech geek for the stars comment) lead pretty mundane tech lives. Kevin Spacey is not james bond. all those stars on TV – they play the same PS2 games as everybody else.
They might have a really sweet plasma screen, but
again, it’s still the same computer, install DSL, how do i network my X, do i need a firewall questions.

  9. Good for you. Tavern on the Green perhaps? Rainbow Room? 21 Club? Four Seasons? Don’t forget to fill us in on it when you come back.

  10. I’ve loved Kevin Spacey since way back in the 1980s when he played the deliciously demented and evil Mel Proffit on the TV series Wiseguy. He was absolutely riveting to watch and I knew way back then he was going to be an actor to reckon with. I’ve always felt he was an intelligent and insightful individual. It was so gratifying last night to see that it’s not just an actor’s personification.
Leo, that was one of the best interviews I’ve seen you do, just the right combination of fun and information. It was comfortable, warm and very watchable (I’ve viewed it 3 times already). You both looked like you were enjoying the segments. How nice to see a celebrity who not only embraces technology but can talk intelligently about it.
Too bad about the drinks but what I want to know is, did you get his autograph?

  11. Keyser Soze? Well, if you must know he’s…..he’s…..what was that noise? No!! No!!
    I’m…….I’m……

  12. Here’s a mental picture: Leo, Martin, Megan, Morgan and Patrick getting hammered with Kevin Spacey. πŸ˜€
I *so* would have have hit the pubs with Kevin, or anyone else from TSS. πŸ˜‰ Who wouldn’t! Well besides Leo, and who knows why, nobody… =x
Leo is a mystery to us all. πŸ˜‰

  13. I can’t believe I actually got to see my two favorite guys on a show TOGETHER! That really meant a lot to me! Can’t believe you didn’t go…I’d believe it if he wasn’t one of your favorites…but if you felt like I do, nothing would’ve stopped you, just like nothing was gonna stop me from meeting you finally!!
Well, I sure would love to be there for that second chance – Man!!

  14. I got to tell you that Kevin Spacey is also one of MY favorite actors as well. I had the opportunity to meet him a LONG time ago, on the set of “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” when they were filming at the Great Gorge Resort (The Old Playboy Club) up in New Jersey.
He was so down to earth, we had coffee and some pastries, he introduced me to Joan Severance, Gene Wilder, Richard Pryor, and host of other people that were involved with the film. It was almost as though I made a new best friend and he wanted to introduce me to all of *his* friends.
All I can say is that I will never, ever forget meeting him, and he will always be remembered as one of the nicest celebrities I’ve met… (Well, if he comes in second, it would only be to Sonny Shroyer – Enos, from the Dukes of Hazzard – I think they actually patterend the charactor Enos from Sonny’s true personality…)

  15. Oh, crud, i missed the Kevin Spacey interview. bummer, let me know when it will be rerun, anyone, I like Kevin Spacey and dig his movies. πŸ™‚

  16. An alternative to e-mail would be to use an RSS aggregator. Leo publishes his site to an RSS feed. The aggregator, much like a news or e-mail client, will periodically check to see if the site has been updated.
The RSS URL for Leo is:
    http://www.leoville.com/mt/index.xml
There are many RSS aggregators. Windows users will probably find NewzCrawler relatively easy to use.

  17. What a great interview! I really enjoy Kevin Spacey’s work. Too bad about the the drink afterwards though.
So answer me this: Is Spacey’s head REALLY bigger than yours? I didn’t think it was possible, but clearly it is in that pic…

  18. No way!
Should should have gone with him for drinks Leo! Not to give you a hard time, but how many times in one’s life does someone get the privledge to hang out and have a few drinks with Kevin Spacey?
You should try and get him back on the show in a few months to see how well TriggerStreet has done and if any of it’s users have started to become successful in Hollywood.

  19. Wish I could have seen it. Can’t seem to find The Screensavers in Philippine Cable. I miss you in Call for Help, Leo.
