Family portrait

The photographer who did all the Blog pictures and my headshots for Access Magazine, Christopher Springmann, offered to take a family picture of us before we moved. He came by last weekend and we just got the shots back. They’re so beautiful, and I’m so proud of my family, I thought I’d share one with you. That’s Jennifer, my wife, with Henry and Abby, my children. There’s a bunny named Johnny Wallet in there somewhere, too.

He says he’s going to take one as we’re leaving the house, too. We’re moving July 5.

  1. Hey Leo,
We just moved in to a big new house, it doesn’t have as much character as our old house. 🙁 Watch out for those roosters they get mean if you get near it’s hens. I know believe me!
Best wishes from my family to yours,

  5. This is a completely beautiful picture; everyone looks so blissed out. I do believe I see Johnny Wallet poking his head out on the left, there. And yet another gorgeous view in that house – is there *any* part of it that doesn’t look that way? I may get a little blissed out, myself.
    Happy Family Smooches,

  10. Nice family Leo. It looks like you all had some great times in that old house.
Any brighter smiles, and the Sun would be wearing Sunglasses. Well have fun
in the new house all of you. Be sure to grow a garden that the bunny can munch on. You’re one lucky guy Leo. As is the rest of your family.
    Stay Cool.

  11. At the end of the day, you are able to come home to these faces…what fun must be had at the LaPorte household..minus little quirks that makes a family a family.
Thanks for letting us come home with you for awhile. I did enjoy my stay. See ya the next time around Leo and Family. When you move I will help you out with the chicken coops and the soon to be TV Studio like we talked about. Thanks very much for the Iced Tea as well.
    Hey, it could’ve happend. 🙂
Man, How’d that pic get on you page? digital image or a scanned in printout?
No bad pictures yet…and no good way to do the pop-up windows like you are…

  12. That’s really a great picture Leo. You have such a nice family and everything to be happy for. My friend put his daughter into girls softball at an early age. Now she’s fifteen and I cannot believe how good they are. Her niece is almost the same age and seems meek compared to her. I think getting a kid into sports is one of the best things you can do for them. I don’t know how they do it since they both work, but she was an after thought and they seem to have a little more time now. some kids go through life like they’re in prison, while others are on cloud nine. it seems like a war zone when they collide in school and its a wonder any of them grow up to be responsible adults. Is it any wonder the thought of having kids is so terrifying? you seem to have handled it all very well though. Good luck with the house.

  13. Leo, the joy that your family brings you is evident on your face and in your disposition. May they always be a source of pride and happiness for you.
When either my wife or I ask the other “How did I get so lucky?” We answer “It was your turn.” Seeing you and your family together, I see you had your turn too.
    See you in Cherry Hill!

  14. Leo,
Thanks for letting us enjoy your family photos. It’s special when you take the time to all sit down together and do nothing. Texas little league is over and our family will quit hanging at the ballpark, now we will move to a pool or the coast. I wish you and your chickens hapiness and joy, we a rooster we can start you out with, ahhh the joys of raising three boys. Your faithful fan.

  16. Leo, you have a beautiful family. I can see by your faces that it’s a happy one. It’s wonderful to see that you feel so proud. When it comes right down to it, your family is the MOST important thing in all the world.:<) Thanks for sharing your family portrait with us,and once again, good luck with the move.

  17. What a great picture of the family! I hope you will be settled in at the new place without too much hassle, but moving is a real adventure! I know the kids will enjoy the new farm, and Johnny Wallet will, too… sorry you have to do all that travelling just before you move, I know you’d rather take that time to plan and organize the move, but don’t worry, it works itself out and before you know it you’ll be milking that herd of chickens!
    :^)
