5, 4, 3, 2, 1….

Last day of rehearsals. Today I worked with Erica Hill and Jennifer London. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.
Now I’m waiting for my OS X tip in Call for Help. This is the first thing I’ll do that will actually air in TechLive. We’ll tape it for air early Monday morning. Tensions are still running high. We’re all yelling at each other. I yelled at Becky yesterday – don’t worry I’ve apologized. She tells me she’s created new anatomical orifices for several folks herself. You don’t want to mess with Ms. Worley. She’s a rugby champ… up for the US Women’s Team, in fact. She’s got biceps in her ears.

Woops. Gotta get wired up. Call for Help is about to begin.

  1. I can see why. Here we’re working on rehersals for our High School play
The Hobbit. We’ve got until next Thursday to get it down before we do the
real thing. Tension hasn’t hit us yet (We’re teens we don’t scare… for a while). So basically everyone’s staying cool. Unfortunately, we haven’t even practiced the important stuff. (Like the Pyrotechnics) or useing the
flash powder. Basically I think we’re still in need of another week!
I can’t say that I blame you Leo for being up tight. I mean, heh, we’re just doing a local play. Your doing
an international telecast for the first time. All I really can say is…
Enjoy your weekend, and stay cool.
We’ll be your fan’s no matter what! Even if you trip and fall on air!
(Which you won’t) It’ll all go smooth and yellow. Like Buttah.
    C-ya durring the Weekend!

  3. Hi Leo!
    Check out this article:
    http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/2/18016.html
It is about a toaster that prints out the weather forecast on your toast!
Have you ever seen Red Dwarf’s talking toaster? We’re getting closer to that.
    Would you like some toast?
(I can’t believe I found a webpage dedicated to this:
    http://www.sadgeezer.com/RedDwarf/toaster.htm )

PS: I’m glad you and Patrick visited St. Louis too!

  4. Break a leg, Leo! You’ll be great! I am hoping that your power stays on and that no more sunpots hit until you’ve finished your first day, after that, all bets are off! BTW: There is going to be a guest on Monday morning (10 am eastern) who will be from mpt, you will be able to see the blue wall where I work, isn’t that exciting? I work nights, so I’ll miss the excitement, but I will be proud to be a part of the first day of Tech Live by proxy. (Maybe I’ll go over there on Sunday and dust the wall, I want it to look good for you guys!)

  5. hey leo i was going to be a test netcammer when you did your practice of tech live today march30 until you decided to do that story on microsofts security hole, but its all ok because i got to watch almost an hour of techlive via netmeeting. you guys and the set looked great. you all looked like you have been doing this job for years, not just the last week. while i watched i took a couple of screen grabs from netmeeting so if you wanna put up a couple of pictures of you and the set of techlive just lemme know and i shall send em to ya.

  6. Hey Leo sorry to bug you but I’m haveing a problem trying to e-mail
you at The Screen Savers to give you a drawing I just finished.
Do you know what the problem is?
    Sorry again for the bother.

  7. It’s a given that with tension even the best of friends can get a little snapish towards each other. With basically the relaunch of the new channel format I can appreciate the tension you all have to be going thru. Hang in there guys, it’ll work!!

  8. Hey! our blue wall made it on the air, it was really spiffy. The whole new Tech Live thing is a shock to watch, if you are not ready for it! I guess they tried to warn us!!! It’s ‘different.” that’s for sure. Fill, Leo, fill!

  9. You should keep wearing the cool shirts on the Screen Savers Leo! Oh, btw, thanks for visiting St. Louis! I know it was a long time ago (i.e. a few months) but it was awesome having you here.
